A cheese-making workshop will be held at Red Earth Farm near Reidsville on Saturday, March 31, 3:30-5:30.
Learn to make two simple and delicious cheeses -- fresh mozzarella and ricotta -- from easily obtainable ingredients. Class will consist of a demonstration, then hands-on practice. After finishing the mozzarella, which has to be stretched and is great for bruscetta and sandwiches, you will make ricotta, great for spreading on crackers and for making stuffed shells and lasagna.
We will have samples of several dishes that include fresh cheese. There will be take-home recipes. Each person will also go home with a starter kit good for making six pounds of cheese.
Cost to Attend: $25-45, sliding scale fee
