CHILDREN'S PROGRAM
Georgia Organics' children's program connects children with food, farms and nutrition. Kids ages 6-12 will explore the journey of food through interdisciplinary activities in music, art, science and nutrition.
This year, kids will investigate carnivorous plants with the Atlanta Botanical Garden, write environmental mad libs with Reaping Nature, participate in creative drama-cize movements and nutrtion games with Chickin Feed, perform food and farm music songs with Tree Leaf Music artists. Weather permitting, some activities will take place outside. Saturday, Feb. 20, 8:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. Space is limited.
Cost: $30 for members, $40 for non members.
The Children's Feast
Saturday February 20, 6:30-10:00 pm
The Children's Feast is an event to occur during the Farmer's Feast and keynote portion of the Georgia Organics Conference. Children will participate in fun activities and engage in their own feast festivities. A designated sleep area will be set up and kids who need to go to bed before the end of the Farmers Feast. Children should come prepared with a sleeping bag.
Please provide food for children with special dietary needs.*Please note that this event is only for Children 6-12. At least one parent must be in attendance of the Georgia Organics Conference Farmers Feast Event.*
