Our 2009 conference highlights will include:

  • Educational sessions: This year we will feature 9 workshop tracks with local and nationally recognized speakers. The sessions will offer something for everyone including beginning and advanced farmers, foodies, community activists, farm to school organizers, backyard gardeners and people who care about sustainability. Five in-depth workshops will also be offered on the first day.

  • Delicious farm-fresh food: Our famous Organic Banquet featuring a local, organic menu prepared by local chefs featuring a keynote address with Michael Pollan.

  • Local farm tours: Visit farms, urban agricultural projects, school and community gardens in the metro Atlanta region
  • Slow Food: Our partner, Slow Food, will have a big presence at this year's conference and together we will host a whole Slow Food workshop track. sessions
  • Children's track: Once again we will offer a track focused on integrating ood, farms and nutrition with science, music, art and cooking.
  • Farm-to-School: A farm-to-school track will be offered to empower parents, farmers, teachers, school officials and foodservice providers to incorporate farm to school components.
