For the past 26 years, the beloved Georgia Organics Conference & Expo has been fostering community – a community of farmers on the path toward prosperity, and a community of Georgians invested in supporting healthier foods, farms, and families. We’re all interconnected, and as we’ve moved this conference around the state, we’ve worked to build and strengthen those ties. We’ve learned and shared challenges and solutions embedded within the transformational work of the people who make up our local food and farm movement.
The South is home to some of the most innovative farmers and ranchers in regenerative and organic growing. Our annual conference convenes these leaders alongside chefs, environmentalists, educators, researchers, community organizers, and eaters. By bringing these diverse participants closer together, we can inspire, reenergize, and mobilize attendees to work together and carve a new, better agricultural future for our state.
Perry 2023
After two challenging hiatus years bookended by the emergence of a pandemic and a late freeze and tornado that significantly affected Southern farmers, the 2023 Conference & Expo on Feb. 16-18, 2023 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds, served as a crucial gathering point for knowledge, opportunity, resources, and connection. Drawing participants from 15 states, the event provided over 100 farmer scholarships and relief comps for those affected by climate-related disasters. The program featured 40 education sessions spanning six tracks, culminating in an inspiring keynote address by "Mama K" Karen Washington!
